This course is aimed at those who already hold an IRATA Level 1 certificate with 1000 hours logged as a Level 1 over a 12 month period and want to progress their career in rope access. The Level 2 qualification will enable a user to perform advanced rescues and rope access tasks under the supervision of an approved IRATA Level 3 holder.
- Re-visit Level 1 skills
- Safe use of equipment including in work and rescue situations
- Anchorage selection
- Traversing and safe lead climbing
- Rescues including hauling and lowering
- Advanced skills such as re-belay, rope and sling protection, tensioned lines and horizontal lifelines
Those who already have the knowledge and skills required on the safe use of equipment and rope access manoeuvres including simple rescue and basic legislation, and wish to progress their training to more advanced procedures.
An IRATA Level 1 certificate is required with 1000 hours as Level 1 logged over a 12-month period.

Delegates successfully completing an IRATA Level 2 Industrial Rope Access course will receive an IRATA certificate valid for 3 years.
